چکیده

The broadband laser induced white emission (LIWE) spectra of NdAlO 3 nanocrystals in vacuum, air, and liquid N 2 were explored. In particular, their dependence on excitation power was investigated. It found that the LIWE intensity increased exponentially with above threshold all three cases. process for discussed terms multiphoton ionization assisted by ejection hot electrons. Two differences observed depending conditions: number photons involved higher due to additional contribution . Also, value showed an increasing behavior air , relative permittivity thermal dissipation.

Terahertz emission from laser-induced microplasma in ambient air

The integration of ambient air plasmas as source and sensor in terahertz time-domain techniques allows spectral measurements covering the elusive terahertz gap (0.1–10 THz), further increasing the impact of those scientific tools in the study of the four states of matter. In this article we describe the experimental study of the terahertz emission from a laserinduced plasma of submillimeter siz...

Characterization and Corrosion Behavior of Hydroxyapatite- Coated Titanium Substrates Prepared Through Laser Induced Liquid Deposition Technique

Titanium and titanium alloys are often used in orthopedic surgery and dentistry because of their especial characteristics such as biocompatibility, mechanical properties, and corrosion resistance. However, their bio- inertness is the most serious drawback for biomedical applications. Therefore, a bioactive coating like hydroxyapatite (HA) is coated on their surface. In this regard, in the prese...

Laser-induced growth of nanocrystals embedded in porous materials

Space localization of the linear and nonlinear optical properties in a transparent medium at the submicron scale is still a challenge to yield the future generation of photonic devices. Laser irradiation techniques have always been thought to structure the matter at the nanometer scale, but combining them with doping methods made it possible to generate local growth of several types of nanocrys...

Laser-induced rotation of a levitated sample in vacuum

A method of systematically controlling the rotational state of a sample levitated in a high vacuum using the photon pressure is described. A zirconium sphere was levitated in the high-temperature electrostatic levitator and it was rotated by irradiating it with a narrow beam of a high-power laser on a spot off the center of mass. While the laser beam heated the sample, it also rotated the sampl...
